Is purchasing a pure DH bike worth it?

Pfft naysaysers.

that wilsons brilliant and you’ll love it. If you only ride it 4 times a year it will last for ever! Cheaper than an mx bike.
It’s only money. You can make more.

Australian is about to start quantitative easing...aka, printing more money.
Yes. Printing more money is a well known problem solver. One of our greatest political minds (Pauline) was onto this years ago! Just need to go back to the old paper stuff so it can double as toilet paper.

too expensive?
When someone here makes a comment like 'I think I tore a hole in one of my gloves" the most common response is "new bike time". The fact that everyone here is telling you not to buy a new bike speaks volumes.

When people need a new glove, telling them they need a new bike is clearly the opposite of what they need.

Here we have a bloke after a new bike, and everyone is saying no don't buy it. Which is the exact opposite of what he needs.

The only thing I'd change, is I'd be getting a transition TR11 instead of the devinci.

Because it goes to 11.

Could pre-order the new Canfield DH bike and deliver to hotel upon arrival?

Or whatever bike really; a good opportunity to buy just about any desirable bike without the Australia tax and not worry about transit at least one leg of the trip.

And no import duties because you took it over with you, right?

How is there not porn of a new dh bike being posted in here yet?

$8k for the Wilson is good buying. That spec is solid and the frame is well regarded. Time to tell him his dreaming and low ball those bastards down to new bike price!

But I'd probably look at a different frame myself.

Given the atrocious resale value of 12 month old barely used dh bikes. 8k on a nice, but not balls deep boutique nice, DH bike is border line dim.

Im going back to a DH. Rented one at thredders Aurum alloy XL and was so much fun...even after going over the bars and hurting the ribs.
Would/should 29er DH bikes be better/ faster than 27.5?
Eyes are on newish Norco Hsp, 29 supreme or 27.5 sender...
