Hey! whats the sitch with the bike park at wahroongah golden jubes park? its lacking the fun factor, the flow section seems to not flow, can we step it up some what? it could work better with more pumps and or jumps, and the berms could be opened up a bit to speed it up. Its....eh! do people find it to be a great place to head to for a few hrs riding?

I wonder what would happen if riders just started maintaining this place without formal approvals...
i think you could ask synergy trails (the builders of the park) currently they are flat out at hornsby building all the MTB trails there. go and volunteer there, 830am saturday next weekend and ask the guys personally, they will be more than happy to give you info/feedback

just to clarify it was a World Trail project and we helped out with some labour content and Timber work in the skills area. It was a great experience to work with Glen and the boys.
Synergy are due to start a referb project on the jubes facility for Ku-ring-gai council starting at the beginning of November. We will be doing everything as in the original post plus more it will take around 6 weeks or so.

The conditions and requirements placed on the original project and the 1 meter of rainfall in the following month at the end of the job is what caused its poor condition to date, we hope to improve everything from the good base that World Trail laid down.
Adrian.

Sounds good, looking forward to the upgrade! Does that mean Old Mans will open the beginning of November :friendly_wink:
Went for a quick pedal there yesterday arv, only person there :(..I think that says a lot.

It really needs work, the flow on the xc is only good for beginners at best.
The wall ride would be very hard for even an intermediate on a full size mtb.

World Trail and Synergy did an awesome job with the small space available on the side of an old tip (and im sure it did wonders to prove the sustainability issue, it really needs work to bring it inline with the quality at Old Mans, now that the dirt has settled. :)

Any word on further stages here, as this is a good start but for a rider its just not worth going without more trail.

p.s also needs some greenery (Trees etc)
