Him and his previous history....
He was doxxed on weight weenies recently (before it was taken down). His claimed qualifications and previous employment are lies.
He's been called out for misogynistic behaviour by a female journalist.
And faking aero testing results.

In short, he is full of shit
Good to know, haven't kept across it so all the better to understand the situation.

Oddjob

Merry fucking Xmas to you assholes

So it's crap because of him.

I've yet to see a credible take down of any of his analysis.

Very nice @bear the bear, missed this yesterday as I have been clicking on it for a few days just to see a frog.

That's a fair investment in Gravel right there. Right down to the saddle.

The only thing I would change would be 1 x drivetrain. GRX812 will take 42t cassette, I run a 30t single front on mine and can comfortably do 42kph, a 34t would probably be better but it works ok the way it is.

Awesome build !

The parts have been curated off my Trek checkpoint as I have retired the frame (4 years old).
I bought the frame from Pushys when they had their 30% off sale in May and have just been waiting on various parts to arrive (bartape, seatpost, spacers, cassette, chain, bolts)

It’s a lovely rig! Di2 is sweet as (I have had it for years on my roadie) but agree with @ozzybmx that single ring (38T for me) is the way to go for a gravel bike used in hilly terrain. If you’re using it for big road distances on slicks as well then the double may make sense.

Enjoy!
