Just to let everybody know the Kona Clock2Clock is on again this March on Sunday the 4th. The major change this year is that everyone will ride a full lap. Everyone now gets to ride up the Mount and down the Chute. There will be a 35km and 70km race. The race will start in finish in the centre of town which makes this a great race for you to bring the family to. We would like to welcome a new sponsor as well, KONA are now the main sponsor with SRAM and Camelback in for a second year. Local sponsors include the famous Bourkies Bakery and Mount Macedon winery

Entry is now open at Entryzone with the 35km race costing $40 and the 70km version costing $70. If you don't have a MTBA license then it will be $15 extra for a day license.

I will post more info in the next few days and if anyone has questions please just ask away. Also this site will have info as well http://www.link2trail.com.au/

See bellow for the info off the website.

After a successful beginning in 2011 the clock2clock Challenge is back for its second year and we welcome you back to the beautiful Macedon Ranges for more Mountain Bike fun!

Again the time has come to experience a Mountain Bike Race with a difference in the Macedon Ranges. We welcome KONA on board as Title Sponsor for 2012. Starting from the Woodend township, with a choice of 2 distances it’s a race to suit everyone so take the challenge and see what Woodend has to offer!

35km Race: Ridng up the Mount and then rocketing down the chute will be worth the effort when you get to the picturesque Mount Macedon Winery feed station. After coasting down sweet fire trails and flowing through the Pinies singletrack you will be smiling all the way back to town for the finish.
70km Race: Starting first, with a police escort, it will be a buzz as spectators see you ride out of Woodend. The 70km racers will be treated to all of the above but double the amount completing 2 laps.

This race is not only for Mountain Bikers wanting a challenge but for the people that come along for the trip to see the town and what it has to offer. Bring the family because this race will have the support of the local Woodend community. Vouchers to cafes will given away to make the wait for friends and family supporting their riders more enjoyable.
Heaps of awesome prizes for the class place getters. Random giveaways throughout the event including a KONA bike.

NB
This is an MTBA event. An MTBA race license is required or you can purchase a day license for $20 from entryzone with your entry or on the day.
Junior entrants can enter the 35km race only but must have a parent or guardian present at registration to sign a waiver on their behalf

I am guessing that should say Sunday, not Saturday

Hoping to get along to this race this year, but it's a jam packed time of the year for events.
