would look shit hot on the 34's!
i better send you an offer on the lowly steel one so you can fork out for them. ;)

what sort of grey is the bars? if light, go black stem. if dark, you could probably go either way.

Son of a bitch. This thread is amazing already. Current bike plans (changes by the week) are to sell a couple of bikes, a kidney and several other internal organs I may not need later and get one of these or a Stanton Sherpa Ti. TELL ME EVERYTHING.

Here I was expecting to see some welds you actually did. Words can't describe my disappointment with this thread.
Still laughing.

Actually this has got me all inspired to contribute some welds too. Considering Zaf doesn't seem too fussed if we fill his thread with crap, here are some vaguely purty ones on my Spider (needs a clean):

So much want. The new carbon Honzo's look pretty sweet too, interested to see how much they go for.

This is going to be sick! After being super happy with how a steel ht rides in comparison to an alloy ht, ive been curious about ti. Looking forward to what you think about it

I had considered a Carbon, but I didn't want to stray from the feel of steel too much. Also, the Carbon would force my move to boost which I'm not ready to do with my current generation of bicycles. Truth be told, I bought this for romantic reasons. Since I decommissioned the Yeti, my Honzo has been my main whip out here and it is just a dumb fun bike. I think I've been caught waxing lyrical about it on this website a few times before. The original plan was to just give the steel frame a new drivetrain and some fresh wheels, but it was suggested my Mint, seemingly off the cuff, during a ride that I upgrade the frame to Ti... And once that thought was planted the money was as good as spent. I do honestly think the Honzo is that good of a bike that it deserves to be immortalised in a Ti frame, and despite my 6 monthly "buy something new" cycle as of late, it's a build I plan to hold onto for some time to come.
Haha nice, I wish I never sold mine, I had a 2014 for almost a year. The Ti frame looks so good too, probs still takes the win over the carbon in the looks department IMO. Looking forward to seeing some pics of it built up!

With any luck you'll have something in hand by weeks end to start your PYR thread with. You getting excited?!

I can't do it, I've got a self imposed spending ban on me now. Only allowed to buy consumables, tyres, chains, cassettes, etc. With the one exception being a pretty stem once I figure out the cockpit length I plan to run. But even without that ban in place, I couldn't bring myself to buy that anyway. I am tempted to give the Pike a paint job though, I probably won't, just leave them murdered out and have the frame draw the attention.

How could you?! I honestly have no plans on selling this, spending the money to immortalise it!!

Now that the post nervousness from big spending has worn off, I'm really starting to get the excitement to ride tickle for this. Entering the constant checking of tracking numbers phase of the process...nevee easy.
You blouse. Just stick the pikes in the box, murdered out builds are for girls.

Is 140mm fork the go to choice on a honzo?
I bit the bullet and scooped up the last medium AL/DL complete in Oz, specd with the 34 performance 120, wondering if I should chase up a longer option
Can't wait for this build

all you need is a longer air shaft for the 34's, can do 110 to 140 for the 29" version.

depends what you're after from it, but give it a go at both... currently running mine at 120, but will likely buy a longer air shaft to play around with.
