haha! awesome :p

There would be so many riders thinking...

'oh shit, i think i took too much today... I'm starting to see human size syringes! Argh!'
Are the CSC riders in the background coincidental, or is the picture speaking a thousand words?

I'm a little hazy concerning the incident with Rasmussen. Am I to believe that he lied about his wherabouts when he was supposed to be undergoing a test? Yet no banned substances were actually detected when he did undergo testing? If that's the case then will he undergo the same disciplinary procedures as Vino etc e.g two year ban and cut of salary?
Yes he lied about his whereabouts to his team and to the relevant Danish authority, thats all.

As for punishment - I would say no.

Serious topic here....

Does anyone else feel like going out for a ride and throwing their water bottles off to the side of the road when they are empty?

Damn right, I got a box full of them ready to throw, as well as half full cans of coke, powerbar wrappers, and mussettes. I'm also hoping to go the wrong way around round a bouts, and expect to have a motorcycle escort and a red car behind and in front of me.

Realistically I'll be riding with Dreggsy, perving on female joggers in Centennial Park, observing the 30km hour limit.

Or Virenque or a few others. Hamilton got signed on by a nobody team, BTW, who dropped him like a stone as soon as more allegations came up.
In 2 years Vino will be ancient. It seems Rasumssen just isn't accepted by the public - he's been successfully painted as a villain now - and since that's what sponsors care about, no chance.

Ivan basso already has 2 job offers, one coming from Team Barloworld. Ullrich has interest in him from a few times before he retired. Milram didnt drop zabel.

I wouldnt mind seeing and agreement between pro tour teams not to contract riders with a doping charge.

But I reckon they are all still popular with the public though. This week Chicken was getting booed all day, and doesn't come across as someone that people really want to see racing again. His arrogance and patronising tone with the media didn't seem to win him many fans.

That could just be my subjective opinion coming through though.

Basso signed with Disco before evidence of his "intent to dope" came to light. At that time his Disco contract was torn up.

I find this comment interesting from the Rassmussen interview "My boss is mad. I wasn't in Italy, no way. That's the story of one man (former cyclist and now an Italian television presenter Davide Cassani) who thinks he saw me but there's not the slightest proof."
I strongly believe Rassmussen has been unjustly dealt with and hope he goes to town on idiots like Prudhomme who openly stated they did everything in thier power to force Rassmussen from the tour.

I actually feel sorry for Cadel in all of this if he wins because everyone will remember Rassmussen was the real winner even though he was disqualified by politics. Although I doubt it, Evans could have ridden over Rassmussen in the TT, now he will never get that chance.

For the record I have stayed up and watched every stage for quite a few tours now (at least 6), last night I went to bed at 10:30, to me this tour is over.:(

Why feel sorry for rasmussen? You miss testing you get suspended, he should not have been allowed to start, cadel deserves his chance at winning and if he does shouldnt have to think it was handed to him over politics.

He is saying that now, but the word from the Rabobank spokesman when it was announced was that Rasmussen had confirmed to them that he was in Italy at the time.

He's like all of them that get caught " it wasn't me, I never did it". They all come out after and say they never did anything wrong.

+3secs

a small split in the bunch at the finish, and whammo, cadel gains another 3secs on Contador...

...well every little bit helps surely! :)

You're shitting me. Cadel's finest hour will hardly be noticed amongst all this crap. If it's Contador, then Cadel's in yellow. I'm sure it's not the way he wanted to get it, but yellow's yellow.

I'm wondering if it's the Columbian in the Polka Dots... Geez, imagine if it was Boonen - he was the one calling for life bans the other day, wasn't he?
