Little Things You Hate

People saying "period" instead of "full stop". I don't see blood all over your page but I do see a distinct end to your sentence, therefore, full stop not period.
 
All of a sudden just being not existent to someone who was pretty much your best friend.

Going to grab the laptop off the couch, snagging the cable on something and tearing the end off my 3 day old $115 HDMI cable.

The fact you bought the $115 HDMI cable, as opposed to the $15 is the little thing I hate. Unless I'm horribly ignorant, numerous tech heads have told me that there is absolutely no difference between any of them in terms of picture quality!

Hangovers/working the day after Australia day.
Seriously, the entire country should go into hibernation for 24 hours to save a shed load of sickies and counterproductive work!

Fuck. I don't want to know that there are cheapies. I'd have got that in a shot if i knew it was the case. Bought that first one in a hurry and was outraged at its price at the time but it was actually the cheapest in the shop.

At least I've got a bit of time to shop around now so I'll get a cheap one the second time so thanks for the heads up.

HDMI cables, imo, are one of the biggest scams in the electronics retail industry. In terms of video quality a $5 HDMI cable is the same as a $300 HDMI cable, it's a digital signal so you either get it or you don't, there can be no signal degradation over the cable such as with Component cables.

There are however different specifications of HDMI cables, so you might see them labled as HDMI 1.3a compliant or something. In terms of blue ray this really only effects the audio component as HDMI1.3 can carry a lot more audio bandwith than HDMI1.0 so things like Dolby trueHD can be utillised. That's not to say many blueray titles actully use this level of audio, however, if you have a 20K sound system it might be worth making sure you have 1.3 cables. That's said even the cheap ones are HDMI 1.3 these days so you can't really go wrong.
 
Spending hours going through complicated calculations to see what you messed up, only to find it was a typo in your code.

One might say that. However, on the other hand, one might just say that considering the majority of our globe lives in poverty and my current monetary stature equalling 0 my "wealth" or lack thereof is quite common.

So your saying your financial situation (which is theoretically $0.00 given your bank balance, but not counting the shrapnel in your wallet) is higher than that of a person in a 3rd world country, whom presumably also has no money to his/her name.

So...at the end of the day neither of you have money? Unless by 'wealth' you mean both standard of living AND money. In which case, i bid you goodnight sir.
 
Having a few scabs on my foot, then riding all day with shoes on, taking off one shoe, seeing blood stains on my sock ... and knowing that the scabs are going to be stuck to my sock. Gah.

Also, having one of my best mates get his new DJ bike when mine's so close to finished ... so eaaager to get it together after riding his for a bit today!
