Tell me you've never been to Griffith without telling me you've never been to Griffith!Hard to find a bike shop that stocks sealant but doesn't have Stans, even if its the little 2oz/50ml bottles for $12-$15 each![]()
It is the endurance version!Isn't that why they also sell an endurance version?
Personally, I've gone back to tubes. Filled with latex...
Are you expecting to grow in height any time soon?Integrated seat posts. What a stupid idea. God forbid I may want to adjust my seat post height in a timely manner...![]()
No, but I'm also not expecting to get my post height exactly perfect straight away. Set up the bike, did the stationary fit test, went to bed in the breaks. While pedaling, realised that it wasn't quite right. It's not exactly a 'side of the road' job to adjust it seeing as I need to give a tap with a hammer to release the internal clamp...Are you expecting to grow in height any time soon?

Sounds like a classic.2 part one - shit Hospital systems and commercial TV.
Shit Hospital systems - 3.5 yr old cut his finger on a stick Sunday night. Basically a clean cut half way through his middle finger at the tip while feeding the dog sticks which she was happily eating. Makes no sense but it happened (I literally watched it happen and still can't explain it).
- ED Sunday night from 8PM to 12.30 am to get bandages and an x-ray to make sure there are no bits in there and to check that there isn't any bone damage (they were worried that finger was crushed in the dogs mouth, confirmed not to be the case). Told we would have a call in the AM to confirm a time for stitches.
- Call Monday AM says that stitches would now be Tuesday but we need to go on for IV antibiotics. Go in and ask if they can do oral as he is not a kid that sits still while medical procedures are being done. The doctor basically says she would prefer oral too but she needs to follow instructions from the surgery. 1.5 hrs waiting + 1 hr destroying his veins trying to get a canular into a screaming 3 year old and they call the doctor and decide that oral is fine. Go home 3 hours later.
- Go to day Surgery this morning at larger hospital. Then we're told to go to children's ward as they will have a look there. Then are told to go to ED so they can do their assessment there. Then we get assessed and told that our surgery will be tomorrow morning (Pending a call tonight of course)
FFS, seems like the smaller hospital didn't actually book anything in.
Shit TV - While sitting in the waiting rooms me and my children were exposed to free to air TV (the horror!). In between some dipashit on daytime TV trying to say that we should abandon the NBN and just use starlink and the only reason people are against the idea is people don't like Elon Musk. Then the ad comes on for Barbie uncovered (an expose about the Barbie movie?) right after Married at first sight. Do people watch this shit?
Sounds like a classic.
As a recently retired doctor I use to advise people not to go to ED unless it was life or death
because you know they take it seriously and wont likely dick you around.
Hope the kiddo is ok mate. That's a long wait for stitches for the little one.2 part one - shit Hospital systems and commercial TV.

Would you happen to have a priority care clinic near you? Here in Ballarat we are lucky to have one. They are open from 10am until fairly late, maybe 10pm? It's been great as somewhere to go if you can't get to a doctor's clinic but not urgent enough for ED.
It's not just realestate agents.Sent off a couple of e-mail enquiries about houses in my town over the last week. First e-mail sent last Wednesday, about two houses. Second e-mail Friday night, to a second agent/real estate company also representing one of the first two houses I enquired about. Replies so far: 0.
It's just so fucking lazy. These houses have been for sale for over a year. Yeah, I can call about them - but e-mails are my preferred choice as I can fit them in and around my work day. Just can't believe not even a cursory "We'll get back to you shortly..." type email. Really earning that commission.![]()
There's a good reason (OK, several) why estate agents have their terrible reputation!
It is weird. The Hitachi group I worked for valued communication courtesy very highly. If you were heard to be rude on the phone or fail to reply to calls or emails you would get a gentle reminder to respond. Then a kick up the Kyber pass if it happened again. All you had to do was reply received your call/email and give an idea when you would or could respond in detail if it was involved. Not hard. Yet the turbine group were notorious for being a communication black hole and then sending a reply later, much later. Even to quotes or contracts. Sometimes wondered if they even existed. It's not just realestate agents.
I use email to request parts/info/quotes for pumps and other work related things. Same as you I do it because I have work to do and can't stand around ringing people. It also gives me a record of the exchange.
I'd say 95% of the time it takes 2 weeks for any reply*.
If they reply at all.
If you have an email address listed, fecking use it.
companies can spend a fortune on advertising, but basic communications costs next to nothing and keeps your customers coming back. even if that communication is we got your mail and hope to get to it tomorrow. All you had to do was reply received your call/email and give an idea when you would or could respond in detail if it was involved. Not hard
