Little Things You Hate

You had Chronic Fatigue if you dont mind me asking what are some tips as for the past 2 years I haven't been able to ride much. Chronic fatigue when your 15 SUCKS.

i'll write up a few things i tried that worked for me, and send you a PM. i feel for you, it would suck a lot.

Yet, you have a cat as your avatar... Interesting theory.

Sounds like the cat is just trained really badly. My parents cat NEVER does anything in the house.

Maybe stick it outside of a night time?

the avatar is more a commentary on the "self-shots" a lot of girls put up on FB :) the cats run the house here, indulged by their owners. outside isn't an option, really, it's a rare and apparently valuable breed with no road sense whatsoever...and i personally don't agree with outside cats in any case, especially after spending many years planting natives to encourage the return of wildlife.

still, it was good therapy to have a rant :)

Cats outside at night

The cat accross the road used to sit outside our fence and stare at our Ridgy as it went mental at it. This was normally between the hours of ten at night until four in the morning. I asked the owner nicely if she could keep it inside, as my dog has a loud bark and I don't need the attention. So she asked if I could keep my dog inside. Two days later, her car was broken into. Too bad. My dog would have woken her if she was outside.

Not long after, this cat decides to devour a bird under our house. This went all night. Bird noises, cat noises, dog barking through floorboards and me yelling at her to shut up so I can sleep.

The next morning I asked the lady nicely if she could keep her cat inside. The answer was a firm no. With that, I had a chat about cats with my dog. One in, all in.

Suffice to say a week or so later, the cat ventures into our yard thinking my dog is asleep inside the house. There was a scuffle. I haven't seen that cat for a few months now. I get a good sleep usually.

Don't get me wrong, I like cats but they should be kept inside. Most of them when outside are arseholes of things and leave a trail of destruction. The owner is sound asleep and doesn't know that their beloved little furball is shitting in someone else's garden, digging holes and leaving a stinking mess and killing other animals. I'm now at the point where I will collect any piles of shit the neighbor's cat leaves in my garden and smear it all over the dead bird carcasses they leave behind and stick it on their door step. Failing that, I could stoop to their level and let my domesticated dog out one night and it could do the area a favor. ;)

my son's Boxer pups had a similar problem with the neighbour's cat, sitting on the dog's fence at night. one night there was a a bit of noise, and in the morning a funny-looking flattened furry mess in the back yard that had to be shoveled up. apparently the dogs were playing tug-of-war...

shame that the cat had to suffer for the owner's ignorance.

a similar situation happened in a share property i lived on in the Orara Valley. all the owners decided that dogs would be too dangerous to the wallabies and feral deer, so dogs were banned. and of course, most had cats. i began dropping mangled Antichinuses on car bonnets and in letterboxes and was asked to move off the property when i began using Council feral cat traps...

My cat is terrified of the Antechinus around here. They'd own her in a blue for sure! Vicious little suckers.

That is why i hate cats, the destruction of our native wildlife...., Oh, and besides the toxo plasma they spread on to humans....

cats. or more specifically, picking up cat sh!t.

every morning because one of the three that live here (not my cats!) refuses to use the littler trays to crap in. he'll use it to pee in, but not crap, and if i don't get up every morning before everyone else and scout for the stealth bombs, my dog will either eat it or roll in it. she'll leave the litter trays alone but always goes for what's on the floor.

this damn cat knows i hate it and will stealth bomb when my back is turned, or right outside my bedroom door, or even right outside the toilet door so i'll step in it if i don't stand back and reach around the doorjamb for the light (it's pitch black at 6am)

i despise this cat's toilet habits and would kick it clean thru the litter trays with my size 8 Docs given the chance.

I've just got a kelpie x border collie puppy that feels he would much prefer to go to the toilet in the shed rather than the lawn. I've tried all the home remedies i found trawling the net to no avail, i've just got to sit back and wait until he grows big enough to not fit through the cat flap on the garage door!

Sounds like a sweet dog, though! I have a kelpie x labrador and she is hands down the best dog you could ever ask for. So friendly and passive. Had a purebred border collie once, he was pretty sweet too. My purebred beagle on the other hand... he was a jerk.

He is!
That's funny because i met an older bloke last night who has had dogs all his life and he has a kelpie x lab and said exactly the same thing.
I was tossing up between a kelpie and a short hair border collie. I don't plan on breeding and an advertisement came up in the local paper for kelpie x border collie pups so i bit the bullet and got one. 6 boys in the litter and he (Jed) came and sat at my feet so he came home with me. Only just starting walking him on a lead, hated it for a while then i left him tied up on the lead for an hour or so and now he loves it!

It's amazing the amount of happiness a pet can bring.

The fact that my right shoe squeaks whenever I walk and has done so for about the past month.

Also rides where you're just not feeling it.

I have a new pair of 6.0's that do that. Annoyed me to much so they have been sent to an early retirement, apparently you can't fix them!

Mine are Vans so they won't last too long anyway with constant riding, no idea why they do it because they last 3 pairs I've had with the same soles have been fine?

Dead Cat Three Times

After yesterday's cat stories. I cant get this Grinspoon song out of my head! It's all your fault Violet! Haha
