Just had a doozy adductor/ hamstring / shin / calf / quad at same time on same leg. While adductor and calf went off on the other side. Gotta love the missus pissing herself laughing as I flop around trying to stretch everything at once.
Stretch everything?

That is the weirdest cock n balls track I have ever seen.

Hurts. Requires Money. And is nerdy.

Ahahaha!!!!
Love a good cramp session.
Woke up in tears last night thanks to a foot cramp that almost had my toes touching my heel.

I however am very normal. Trust me.
^^^^ that's pretty ugly, like the comments

They've beaten me, roadie is for the trainer now, on the road just aint worth it
Ya same, I've been sticking to bike trails and rail trails for years, requires a bit of driving to get to them, which is paradoxical, because I am riding for fitness and stress relief, but I'd rather not die.

Fact remains: I Hate Road Cyclists!
I hate to admit the fact, but I am with freediver. You are a fucken dipshit. Learn road rules you dickhead.

I ride MTB, and also I have ridden road in Sydney for 10years now. 99.9% of people are actually AWESOME for cyclists, most people are actually great. The remainder are utes, 3tonne delivery trucks, Camrys, Accords and random dickheads.

Let's face it, just about everyone can be a dick. That said there is no place here to hate on roadies, drivers, ebikes etc. So everyone put their egos down.

I get frustrated when I see roadies run red lights and so on but not because they are breaking rules but because they are taking stupid risks. Plenty of danger riding on the road without that regardless of what you are riding. I avoid road sectors as much as possible. Some people have no idea what a safe passing distance is even when they arent trying to scare someone.

Had to drive to work today (which I hate - but had things to do this morning and was running late).

Came up to an intersection where we merge onto a main road turning left. Had an old lady in front of me hesitant to go (probably too old to be driving tbh), meanwhile a cyclist came through so I stayed put to let them past. Once the cyclist was through, some arsehole in a 4wd ute behind me had no patience and pulled out around me just as the old lady finally decided to merge.. I don't know how they didn't collide, but it was complete arsehattery and I was stuck in the middle of it.

Anyway, worse things happen at sea, but give me a cycle commute any day.

Correct me if I'm wrong - and I'm not trying to make excuses for that dickhead driver's aggressive, dangerous behaviour - but isn't there a perfectly good bike lane right there, that these guys were choosing not to ride in?

It was a shared path with pedestrians. Which makes that driver even more of a moron.

To flesh that answer out a bit more - you're required to ride on dedicated bike paths "if practical", but no such requirement for exists for shared paths. Therefore no illegal acts were occurring.

I was more referring to the possibility of hitting a pedestrian at speed while yelling at the cyclists.

But yes, what he said too.

As a reasonably regular cyclist who mostly uses shared paths with other pedestrians, lives along a very popular shared path, and often takes small kids riding along said path; shared paths are not suitable for people who want to ride fast. If I'm in a hurry I choose to ride the road (or just before going on holiday the not yet in use light rail line...what a great cycleway!). By the look of their kit those guys were likely wanting a bit of a faster ride and have chosen to use the road.

LTIH: While accelerating hard off the lights up a short hill on my way into the city, I suddenly stepped on nothing and went arse over apex. Turns out that my Shimano Ultegra cassette has let a single cog go, rotating independent of the rest of the cassette. This has happened to me once before, and I have never heard of it happening to someone else. I am really pissed off, it's as bad as a chain breaking but far less understandable because of how well reinforced that area is. How have Shimano's standards fallen so low? They used to make absoutely bombproof gear.

Were you part of the East German track cycling team per chance ?

I agree some road cyclists should use the road, around the lake in Canberra certain people treat it like a velodrome with verbal abuse directed at Children especially on a Saturday morning. Not putting all the road cyclists in one basket as its only a few bad eggs which do this, and I usually note the bike and riders gear just incase.

The shared path along Coro Dr can be stupidly dangerous. Bikes going way too fast. Pedestrians all over the place like bovines and kids stopping and jumping around like kids do. In that type of path serious riders should be on the road though I wouldnt want to ride around the guts of Brisbane.

Have you ridden along there lately?

It's much improved in the last couple of years with pedestrian and cycle traffic separated. I only ride along there once every couple of weeks after a dirty commute but have not seen any pedestrians/runners etc. wandering from their lanes nor bikes in the pedestrian lanes.

so its ok for roadies to abuse me while traveling at mach 5 as I walk along the fernleigh track (shared path) and not have any intention of slowing down or dropping back into single file as they pass..I guess the rules only apply to non road bike users?
I guess I shouldn't tar them all with the same brush, as I met a polite one along the track once.....ONCE!
