Agree, glad the Keith tributes weren't over done.

Was the first time I had been to the Hordern since I saw Midnite Oil in 1984(?)

This time I piked it and rather than be at the front I was back a ways, but I wasn't sitting down

I kinda knew the jingles they'd play based on the the last few shows of 2024 but finishing with that Diesel Power riff totally blew what was left of my socks off. I was about 15 rows from the front and had this cool experience of a handful of random dudes with greying hair all getting together reminiscing on when they first saw The Prodigy, how many times etc. I shit you not, it turned out that 4 of us had been at the same shows over the last 30 years at least four times, was quite cool. I also had some first timers near me and guaranteed they'd wet up. They did!
Liam said they'll be back soon enough with a new album. Fucking fuck yes.

New Order last night, Sydney Opera House forecourt. Spectacular venue, amazing lighting, band were in solid form. But Baby Jesus it was hot! Tops night.

I know it ain't cool to reply a month late but yep; Hordern for me on the 13th. We were in the thick of it and it felt just right. The show has evolved and it's fucking amazing still. Some people who haven't seen The Prodigy before complained it wasn't energetic and lacked punch. Fucking idiots 🤣 If that doesn't put the bounce in you then you need to take anti depressant medication you fools.
One of the best live tunes I've ever heard was Prodigy Poison.

Funnily enough, Alice Cooper's poison, which SUCKS in studio was also one of the best songs I've heard live.

But why would more than one person try to leave a shit in the same cubicle simultaneously?

3 gigs in 6 days, kicking off with New Order last Saturday night, continuing with The Stranglers at The Enmore (first pic) on Wed and The Presets at Waves (Wollongong) last night. Very different crowds at all 3, with the 3rd being most far removed from the others, unsurprisingly enough. Young fellas these days goo too hard too soon, with a disproportionate numbers of early evening vomiters at Waves and a few scenes of multiple youngsters exiting a single cubicle, wiping their noses dead casual like; tip of the hat to a recent post....

Went and watched King Parrot Sat night in Bendigo, supports were Abreact and No Hope. Didn't know too much about No Hope but there were pretty good. Abreact is a local Bendigo metal band they went hard! Certainly wasn't prepared for King Parrot, far out they were awesome and also chaotic as hell. For a venue of 200 people it was pumping. Been a while since I've seen a 'proper' mosh pit and even longer since I've seen stage diving. Bonus was that I could get beer in glass and not plastic cups and whilst the crowd was pretty full on no one seem stupid enough to smash said glasses.

Beth Gibbons these evening. Played her solo album in full and followed up with a few Portishead tracks. Bloody brilliant.

Ha! We had portishead playing at work. Then a general trip hop playlist. Now I am home and blasting the crystal method.

My partner went the other night and said it was amazing too. Knew I should’ve gone but it became a bit of a girls night.
Ah well, I’ll make it to DIIV tonight

On a whim last night went to see a metal (allegedly) band called baroness…

Hilariously bad. We sat through about 6 songs and then the life is short theory kicked in.

Was pretty funny to watch though! Super cliche.
