Saw a few posts about the recent golden goat event and ebikes. Seems kind of cryptic, anyone care to shed light on what happened?

Saw a few posts about the recent golden goat event and ebikes. Seems kind of cryptic, anyone care to shed light on what happened?

I tried going through a few posts on the FB page and only succeeded in acquiring mild brain damage (as usual). Something about a meat powered rider having a crack at ebikers on the starting line saying ebike racing is pointless. I think.

I wonder if it's that guy... we all know the one. On most of the rare occasions I ride there, I see him cutting laps. Skinny outfit and on an XC bike. Rides at Mach 5 with a deadpan face, doesn't say hi, nod, or even acknowledge the existence of other human beings on Earth.

Come on mate!

I can pedal flat out, give someone a thumbs up and still manage to get my Strava ride flagged, because I was actually getting towed by an ebike and beat the KOM by over 2mins! The look on the guy's face when he received an email to say he lost his KOM would have been priceless
