Postponed until next Sunday 10th June 2pm
Time for another maintenance day but this time we get to build a new track as well as a bit of maintenance on the side.
As the title suggests we will be meeting at the Amos gazeebo at 2pm on Sunday the 3rd of June.

Maintenance jobs for the day
- Brushcutting the lower section of the Turkey
- Rebuilding the first right hand corner going up the Turkey, as some of you might have noticed this has already been started thanks to Jock.
-Inspection of the frenzy to gauge the ruts that are forming and come up with possible solutions to fix each section.( This might get done before this day but if it doesn't we can do it on the day).

A new section has been started to connect the Crebra trail back to the rollercat to form a bigger loop. this will be the first section of a planned and approved much bigger loop.

Building jobs for the day
-Continue the clearing of lantana and other shrub along an approximate path
-Flag the planned path
-Start doing the the benching
Plan possible jumps, rollers, berms and other possible technical sections

Once this is done or we run out of time a couple of refreshments will be made available.
If anyone has any other issues that need attention other than whats written above feel free to post up.

Obviously there is a lot to get through so we need all the help we can get to make this happen so if you can volunteer even an hour it will be very much appreciated. If you don't have transport to get down there or you don't have tools post up as somone will be more than happy to give you a lift and the club has a good assortment of tools that people can use.

I should be right to help out. May I suggest rather than starting at the bottom of frenzy and hiking up, a couple of people start from the top and walk down it. Saves a bit of time and energy.

Yeah that's a good idea. not that I'm coming though hahah *quietly returns to corner*

Looks like a lot of Dh'ers arn't going to make it as they are backwards with their priorities(I can't see why you would give up a day of maintenance and trail building) but we will do what we can with out them which will probably be a lot. The people who can't make it needn't worry as I am going to arrange a couple of build days a month for the next couple of months to get this section done and rideable so if you miss out this time you will get another oppertunity soon.
In the enitial post I forgot to mention that the majority of work will require axes, mattocks and rakes and anything else you can think of to clean out lantana.
If you are not going to be able to make it and you have TMBC tools let me know and if we need them I will arrange to get them before the day.

hey guys sorry bout the shitty picture, but as i cant make it on sunday i thought i would just show sorta whats is going on, the solid mustard shit brown lline is the top line is the rough cut in the middle gets very rocky so i believe probably have to go above the rocky section, my 2c is just make the top line for going down as it will b a pretty big pain to make it flowy go up, so i started cutting in another line at the bottom originally just so i could look up the hill but found it would b a pretty sweet trail to get to the top just following the creek up to cereba then acros to the top new line. thanks to the person who got the line cut all the way across,
happy building

I found this www.nearmap.com
It's fairly high res and would be useful for planning trails. If you use the sliding date bar at the top of page you can good aerial shots when it's a bit drier and you can see a lot more ground contour (the link is for Jan this year and looks to be the best). The Multiview is good for checking contour to and the photo seems to be best for seeing whats what in relation to the tracks already there. Hope this helps!

Track Maintenance Reschedule

Dropped into Jubilee today to see what the conditions were like for tomorrow and unless we get a hot , sunny 30 degree day tomorrow its going to be to wet. So we will reschedule the Maintenance day for next sunday the 10th of June and hope for a bit of good weather before the weekend.

Might be ideal conditions for cutting in that new track (Crebra -Rollercat link) I'm still keen for a couple of hours if someone that knows whats going on is going to be there.

I won't ask people to work in the rain or mud but if your keen go for it, if we get a break in the weather tomorrow and it doesn't rain to much tonight I might duck down to do what I can while I can but the forcast for tomorrow is more of what we have had today. If anybody wants info on what needs to be done give me a ring 0459341755.
