Does any one know the main difference between the Marzocchi 66RC and the Marzocchi 66VF forks?
My query is in relation to the Giant Faith 1 vs Faith 2.
Thanks in advance.

66RC = Dual open bath HSCV Hydralic Cartridges.

66RC has adjustable rebound, and end stroke Compression (bottom out resist) and air preload.

66VF = Dual open bath SSVF Hydraulic floating valve.

66VF has not adjustments other than air preload.

However if your talking 2006's these are different forks again.

I believe your talking 2006 models,

in which case,

Faith 2 has 66VF2, which has dual SSVF adjustable damper rods,
1 side compression adjust, 1 side rebound adjust. Keep in mind SSVF has more stiction, and is generally not as smooth.

Faith 1 has 66RC2X which has Dual HSCV,
1 side Rebound adjustment, and Low speed compression adjust
1 side High Speed compression adjust
dual air preload.

The RC2x is a far better fork in many many ways to the 66VF2

66 RC
7" of travel is provided by dual HCSV cartridges. Full open bath, coil-spring system for smooth operation. 35mm stanchions. Incredible tire clearance. Dedicated axle. External rebound and compression adjustment. Internal preload adjustment.

66 VF
All the versatility of the 66 RC for around a Benjamin less. Full open bath, coil-spring system for smooth operation. SSVF cartridges keep costs down without leaving the fork without the ability to shred.

Straight from the Marzocchi Site.:D

oh, and about 200g's if your watching your weight
