Item: Mid to late 2000's XC and DH bike/frame (large)
Location: Melbourne, but willing to cover postage for the right bike/frame
Price range/Willing to Pay: Minimal, hence 'project' bikes, <$1K
Extra Info: See below...

...I'm after 2x project/restoration bikes, one being DH and one XC.

Both are large/larger frames as I'm 185cm (6'1").

For both I'm after dual suspension and something a bit more on the cool/unique side, say Santa Cruz, Orange, Intense, Yeti, Marin, etc. Not as cool, but I have a soft spot for Specialised also (first bike was a 91 stumpy).

Not fussed about condition as I plan to respray, new bearings, etc and have a heap of matching age XC/DH gear to use. Just needs to be a solid frame.

If you've got something lying around, that you did not think was worth putting up for sale, drop me a line.

Cheers,
AJ

I probably should get this out of the rafters and sell it. Sentimentality is only sensible to a point. 2004 RMX pro, owned since new. Raced maybe 12 months. Then put to pasture when kids came along.

And while I have a policy of never selling an Orange, I’d consider saying goodbye to the 222. 2001 global kit, floating rear brake. Would have original vanilla RC shock which needs a rebuild. Optional: Hope hubs with Mavic rims. Boxxers later model with a bit of nasty stanchion rash after loaning to a young fella for the day.

Hurts. Requires Money. And is nerdy.
NO MOOREY NOOOOOOOOO

That RMX is glorious. Pull it out of the rafters and onto the living room wall.

Or the oven.
Fuck it, install an oven in the living room for that weapon

It represents the best of my DH racing years....which if I’m honest, weren't very good.
Actually, my original 222 was a better bike. Should never have sold it. That one was bought to scratch an itch. The sore just bled.
I raced the 222 once last year. It’s still a lot more bike than my riding can handle. Very low bar, mind.

Rocky going to @dh1 sorry. Owe that man a big return favour, and hadn’t heard after a couple of days.
Won’t likely be letting the 222 go now that Rocky is spoken for....a man has to have at least one half valid excuse to be the last man down the hill.

I have a 2006 Commencal Supreme superteam DH (Cedric Gracias ride at the time) frame in Large. Front triangle is brand new and never been assembled/ ridden (warranty replacement) and rear triangle will need new bearing due to not been ridden for 8 years. $250 plus postage or pickup from Brisbane.Pic isn't the actual bike but same model and colour/decal.
