Sepang could be wet wet wet, in which case my money is still on 93 and maybe Ross, Pedrosa even Horhay to fill out the podium. Gonna take a miracle for Dovi to succeed from here.

SJP - easy enough to add a zip from a leathers alteration place, prob for less than a hunge.

I guess the only saving grace for Ducati now is that they usually go well at Sepang so Dovi should get a decent result there. He has had a great season, his most consistent and been super impressive most rounds.

yep, easy peazy.

Tracks I've ridden...

Phillip Island ... perfection. Can be very windy at the end of the straight as you're about to tip into turn one. Lukey Heights is amazing. Southern Loop too. Stoner corner is soooooo fast.

Calder ... rinky dinky. It used to have a 4" drop off the tar on the entrance to the straight, run wide there, very pucker pucker.

Sandown ... sort of fun, particularly the old infield GP track. You ride straight at armco in a few places, a bit unforgiving for bikes.

Winton … good fun. The weirdest surface, seems to put rubber back onto your tyres. They go there tyres all cut up, come away looking like new. Watertank is fun. The double right hander on the new extension is great when you successfully make it one corner. I crashed at 200+ in the wet on slicks… stuffing my right collarbone/supraspinatus/rotator. Wrecked my tennis serve.

Broadford … a goat-track. Small, rough and bumpy but great fun. Turn two is a wheel spinning hoot. My 900SS was perfect there.

Mixed conditions first session but Dovi has laid down a fast lap to open up the weekend :)

MM93 in 5.

Looks like a real mixed bag of weather across the 3 days so every lap really counts at this stage.

Dovi is still quickest after FP2 (wet) but it's early days and tomorrow looks dry, I wouldn't be surprised if MM cuts that gap right down.

Besides, it all goes out the window once the racing starts.

Unless MM bins it, he's the dude.

His riding is sublime.

He just somehow needs to overcome his own super special giftedness and how he presents that to the world... and get people to like him.

He public persona is like the antonym of Rossi... a shame really.

But his corner speed, lean angle and elbow dragging is effing amazing.

Yeah this is all true. His skills are next-level. I wish we could have seen MM race against Stoner. It would have been phenomenal.

But for me, I can't forget the little prick he was in Moto2. Entitled, dangerous, unsporting, aggressive, reckless etc.

...and don't even start me on interfering with Rossi's championship chances at the end of 2015.

Similar to Lorenzo & Stoner, his public persona is driven by blind Rossi fans. The type that boos the podium presentation last week after one of the best races of the season. They aren't race fans. I won't be sorry to see them gone.

I like him. I like Rossi too. Don't forget that Rossi punted Marc off as a finale to the whole fiasco...

Yep... 100% agree... just totally weird. What a bunch of knobheads.

by my calcs for Dovi to win the whole shebang he needs to win Valencia and MM finish no better than 14th.

not impossible, but I reckon it is unlikely

Maybe Lorenzo will do him another favour ?

This is it!

MM to cream them all if he's not taken out by Zarco, Iannone or himself!

Best news of the weekend is NH is retiring, I can hear his voice reading each one of these, though I think they missed a few.

I was too dead to stay up and watch it, figured the title race was over any way.

Got to watch moto3, Joan Mir was in a league of his own. Watch out Moto2 boys, I might be inclined to put a lazy lobster on him to take it out for 2018.
