Is any one familiar with these guys

I’m looking to get a pair of riding jeans for the short rides.
I always wear one piece suits and at times they can be annoying when on and off the bike a bit.
I rode in jeans and a jacket to get pit pass and felt naked. Missed the protection.
Was looking at jeans and would like to support the local if possible.
I was going to buy SAINTZ but they don’t have a very good heat rating.
Open to options, so please post away

My go to for a while has been Shark Leathers - Good range of pants and hard wearing had current ones for years - I don't do track days but have always used "Kevlar" jeans and Dri Rider Jackets ( have 2 of their jackets too but always end back up in the Dri Rider)

And check their facebook there is usually a code like FB10 or something for discounts

Draggin Jeans are the OG moto jeans, they used to be made in Melbourne although I doubt they are anymore. Mum used to work in the sweatshop, errr factory/laundry where they were made originally 30odd years ago.

I didn’t realise dragging were Australian, they are the OG. I’ve seen how these hold up and it was surprisingly good

They make these in XXS?

Not sure how old these pants are, or if the material is now different?

I now remember these guys making big claims when they started a couple of years ago.. was dubious that including UHMW-PE in the woven fibre would do the same job..
Since they've changed to brand name Kevlar fibre, maybe it didn't?

They're still probably better then fashion jeans, but are not aiming to have slide performance of Draggin..but that's the trade-off, performance vs stretch comfort

Re the testing methods etc (single vs double layer)

All that said, my Draggin jeans are not that comfortable with current knee bend if armour in there.. looking for something in between Draggin and leather

how much slide protection is needed if it's the sudden stop that does the most damage? hmmm

And what's with the current trend of skinny jeans?

ahahahahaha. Accept your fate, embrace fall out boy and grow that fringe.
nooooo.... i can barely fit my calves in (SMX6) boots as it is, without having to try and tuck pants in too!

maybe i need to get some ankle breaker boots instead? or maybe thongs? ( for feet, not pants)

I’d forget about trying to find anything that will successfully protect you from impact.
Abrasion protection all the way.
I haven’t found a suit or jacket that has saved a broken bone.

I bought a set of these, will see how they go. 90% of the time I’ll be in suit but will be nice to have another option.

Alpinestar J6 high tops, moto flanno, thong for pants colour matched to whatever cafe racer you’ve converted from a 250cc 80’s dirtbike.
Done.

That certainly provokes an interesting mental image..

Around here, apparently, would be unzipped red check flanno, and whichever unregoed dirtbike you've "borrowed" (yeah, visited the local MX shop for shits n giggles)

Resurgence , Merlin , Speed n Strength
I am built like a Wombat . Short stocky etc
Try this fella ,
Can advise these are all 'true to size '

AMX stores also do 'Bullit - n Draggin , they are current;y on sale at present .

Saint stuff is well made m but the dyneema is ' Hot ' and like plastic - also built / cut / sized for anyone with a 30 inch waist and roolly tall , so like yeah ' Fall out Boy fans '

ahhh sorry, coz not reading - - worth getting some d30 ghost armour also - more comfy - less protective - Roll the Dice

I had a pair of Draggin jeans, but Aldi had some Torque brand ones that were cheap as chips. They had the same amount of Kevlar in the same areas (arse, knees and sides) as the Draggins but are way more comfy so I gave the Draggins to a mate.

They are long in the tooth though…

Why are they pushing skinny jeans these days. That ruled out a lot of options.
In typical fashion I have doubled up and bought a pair of these

The rst pants are a lot better quality and well thought out. There gear is pretty good value to.

I wish we had shops down here that actually carried stock.
The gp expo has more gear on show than all our bike shops put together.
No bike biz, amx or mcas down here.
My new lid had to be bought at the gp.

I did pick up new gloves and a textile jacket down here but that’s very limited choice

is hard for shops to keep stock too (as per LBS)

AMX/MCAS tend to carry vast amounts of cheap gear, and sometimes not much nicer stuff.. but that's the market they aim for. (but the MCAS staff are so dero/bro :p )

i've had good luck with Chromeburner sales (Netherlands?) for ECE helmets.. but have confidence in brand and size for fit..
