Mud Tyres?

Hey guys,

Just finished building my winter training track, and im going to have to get some mud tyres.

Im looking at either Wetscreams or the Intense Spikes.

Mainly looking for anyone with experience with the intense tyres, as their a fair bit cheaper.

I've ridden wetscreams before, loved them, but are they worth the extra $$$?

-Was riding the track today with brand new minion fronts, and was drifting an washing everywhere and it was dry, the tracks just really steep and loamy, but with no rocks. My mate was using wetscreams and couldn't get over how much it was helping.

Cheers

mud tyres

mate i run intense mud tyres there great pump them up to about 25 and they should work a treat.

if wet screams are helping then it must be really really really muddy. wet screams, in my humble opinion, are too much, particularly for australia(read the write up from maxxis ). i hardly even went to that extrteme when i live in the uk in winter. i have found swamp things to be far better for ozzy mud, or the new rain king from conti. i have switched from maxis ot conti this year and the wet and dry improvement is unreal, pricey though.

Its not so much muddy at the moment, but the tracks in pine trees, so the dirts really soft and loamy, and its super steep so theres basically no pedalling, and when its wet up there minions feel like slick tyres. Swampy's would be good in the dry, but its at a sub-alpine altitude so its wet about 75% of the year, Hence wanting mud tyres. Ill check out the continetal range, but i reckon i might fo intense due to the price, and it doesn't matter to much if they're not that great etc.

cheers
