XC Muovasi madness

Yeah, when I look at the acera laden bikes with 3 front rings and suntour forks I am happy with it

Here I am, goofy grin and all.
Riding the mountain in the park.
Took it for a ride at new Italy for a couple of hours, probs notched up 20/25 Kay's, seems to ride well. Don't worry, old mate has had a ride and is impressed.
The cheapo brakes seem fine although there has been no dh madness.
The fork is plush as, as you would expect from manitou, seems strange to have a light front end after riding monsters for so long.
So far it's a frame I would recommend, it does seem pretty sorted

Came up nice mate.

Out of curiousity - How much clearance is there for the fork bridge on the lowers at bottom out? Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like it might get pretty close to the frame...
Hey there, hadn't thought of that so I just measured distance from the arch to frame, it is 5 inches ( she said that:oops:) so a good inch from top out

Good to hear, couldn't tell from the angle of the picture and it kept playing on my mind as it's not something you'd want to find out the hard way!

Beauty!

Manitou has been making reverse arch forks for ages and they have it pretty dialed. For the given travel, the arch will be far from touching the downtube.
Got to say that with no breaking in time these forks actually feel pretty plush, Manitou have always ruled in my limited experience, except for my monsters , they are like a big wedge of butter

Took it for a ride straight after riding the devinci, went like a rocket compared to a Julie.
Probably not as plush a rear suspension but to be honest, I could ride this bike on a consistent basis without being shaken to death
Photo with me looking old, just finished a lap

Ya think?

Who’s Julie?
To be honest, I had forgotten what fun a hardtail really was, especially after having just riden the Julie, some say duallie but well you know.
The devinci is not many more pounds heavier than the cheap carbon but fuck, the carbonosi fly's from takeoff.
Wish it was just a bit smaller.

According to most people on here you should have rattled to pieces by now on a hard tail. :D
Yeah, I would of thought so as well, maybe my style has gotten better.
The tracks I hit are probably all good for hardtails but I like overkill. I do think I will ride it a bit more though.
For a cheap carbon frame it really does feel nice

What happened to the ride what you brought rule, no bike snobbery with real MTBers and good to see you getting some use out of it.

I rode a cheap Chinese duellie for years, it was a bit outdated with geometry but yeah, it still rode well.

Damn, someone left the stable door open and the carbonosi bolted.
It left a note saying that a specialised endurobro with fireflys was moving in, damn it, I will have my hands full with that sexy wench
