New bike ideas

Hay guys,

looking for some options on a new bike in the 150mm area and around the $3000-$3500 range.
Im coming off a 2011 enduro with 160mm forks and wouldnt mind a upgrade.

I test rode a trek remedy 8 and really liked it and will be enough bike for me. I think I would like to stay 27.5 wheels also.
Bikes I've looked at:
Trek remedy 7
Canyon spectral 5.0

and maybe thought about going 180mm and a commencal clash?
Anything else I should consider? Cheers

Cheers for that mate ill have a look into them, by the sounds of it a lot of bikes are nearly out of stock and will have to wait to the the 2020 come in.
Also checked out a Norco range and all seem so similair in spec and price. So far the Canyon looking like the goods.

i was in a similar boat of what too look at, tried, treks, specialized, norco, and giant.
ive recently purchased a Merida one forty 800.

value for money, it was the best bike i could find, with all the parts wanted.
they still have them discounted via 99 bikes.

Oddjob

Merry fucking Xmas to you assholes

It will definitely crack then. But if it makes you feel better I will definitely have an off and a mechanical.

Thats cracking value given the spec. And they're the new 35mm Revelations, not the old noodly 32mm.

This gets you carbon wheels and better shock (and maybe fork) https://www.bikeexchange.com.au/a/d...n-bikes/giant/nsw/tuggerah/trance-1/103439432

Umm. Maybe...? The whole industry is about new standards :)

At the risk of a thread derail, how does it put more strain on the shaft>
