Doesn’t solve the cost issue, but a vertical style hitch might get around the cut out issue?It does but I am still trying to sort out what to do about bikes. The low profile racks I wanted and saw on other golf r wagons might interfere with the sunroof opening/closing. But the other types of roof racks look crap in comparison. With the old car I put the ebike on a 50mm towbar but these cars dont have a tow rating so it doesnt make a huge amount of sense to get a towbar just for the bike racks. It also looks crap cutting out the rear bumper for it. It seems no one makes an ebike rated roof rack either even if I removed the battery. So not super sure what to do...
