The GT chain line looks weird. The higher pivot is too close to the chain ring. It looks like the chain should naturally run between them instead of on top. Could be a deal breaker for me as it is doing my head in. I will read the article and see if it changes my mind.

Yeah, some of these "high" chain lines are really not much more than what we had back in the day when a 44t front was normal.

They really won’t like either…compared to more boutique brands. Because boutique and marketing. If buying a new one, would be one of those though….though norco frame price is up there and both only 29. Huge meh.
I like the look of the Actofive…but know nothing about them, so I’ll assume 29 and expensive.
