I'm loving the internal bracing of the seat stays and chain stays, but cannot avoid thinking about what dirt traps they will be...I thought he had canned this as failed strength tests and no funds left to keep going. Must have found some more money.

Using an extruded section which is completely enclosed (such as Banshee) seems a better solution:

Yes, they would be a shit to keep clean I would bet. The downside to using an extrusion is that you have to weld it and all the associated issues that brings. Maybe you could cap the openings somehow.
