Reason AGAINST building: Skills, no tools, no bike stand, budget could get out of hand!
Reasons FOR building: Satisfaction, higher spec used parts, colourful bits.

Some people do...they aren't necessarily the smartest of people, but a few times over the years I've endured mockery for my frame colour. Just seems so wierd for people to care.

Pink was never a colour questioned by others. Actually brother in law asked recently...what's with the pink? Be sure my bike has pink pedals. I casually let him know I was desperate for attention and thought that would be an easy way to get it.

To be clear, I'm looking for a 29er hardtail with modern geometry and 10-12 gears. I'm happy to buy a dropper separately.
