The steel models have had a pretty big price jump. And in the 2300 range of big al 2 seems odd to have deore 11 when plenty of cheaper bikes went d12 sets

Damn good pricing, most carbon frames are $5k plus locally.

Yeah agreed, which means no upgrade path to better drivetrain components. Also no 4 pot brakes is a bit of a miss. That fork is decent though!

Given most brands now have mini-DH bikes that can pedal, is there room for DH bikes to gain more travel with the increases being made in pedaling efficiency?

Seems crazy that we have bikes that can actually be ridden at 180mm and yet DH bikes run 200mm

I'm sure half the dudes here were on Super Monster T's riding in lycra tops and shorts back in the day.
Ask them why they don't make 300mm travel bikes anymore.
