A person I know has one of these (or something similar) last November he came off it. Ironically riding through the streets of Launie at 2.00am in the early morning with no lights someone had left one of those hire e-scooters in the middle of the road and he hit it at 30kmh ?? probally faster flew through the air for 25mtrs before hitting a parked car. One week in hospital when I saw him when he came out his knee was the size of a soccer ball and various grazes over his body. He was lucky to come off relatively un harmed( although walks with a limp now probally will for ever). Yep he derestricted it real easy he said.

It's kind of poetic that one of those hire scooters (that get left all over the place) was the cause of crash of an illegal scooter. 🤣

I paid $16k for mine when it was $16,999RRP :oops: Looks like she's a keeper.

The updates are a bit ordinary apart from the top tube mounted screen. Sticking with Gen4 Bosch when Gen5 is out and about on bikes for 6 months is a strange move. New Gen5 is silent.. where Gen4 chainring rattles on descent which is the only gripe with my bike.

I see a couple of fat scooters around our way - no bother to me or anyone else.

If anything they just remind me that we need better active transport architecture.

Yeah. I would be pretty nicked off. Have price protection on the credit card so I would be relying on that if distro/seller didn’t come to the party.

That would be good if the CC had come to the party. I understand the distros probably get told with little notice but that Yeti sale was a car crash.

You'd expect normally, even know the last few years have been anything but normal, a $13k bike would sell for at least $6-7k after about 2yrs. That sale, that I was very temped to buy a bike I didnt need, was absolutely decimating to the used market.
