Newly Released eBikes and eComponents General

Stupid name. Really highlights where it's from. Sorry/not sorry that I have an issue with chinese made stuff. An aliexpress bike with a warranty. Whoopdido. Game changer my ass.

Looks good - just a shame theres not a proper specd version between the two. Perf elite suspension / no axs dropper etc. as the 8k one is a bit lacking

Will be swapping the vala out for a dji once they release a new version with no rattle
Ozzy had a rattle on his bin chicken with a Bosch. Solved by a steel chainring in the end i believe?
Does DJI have this hightech solution?
trek eXe
quite a discount... new model incoming?
Not for me though-360 Wh and 50 Nm .

I am interested in peeps thoughts on base AMFLOW v base TEEWINGDING.
Both made in same country by Whoflungdung bike Co. - molded carbon (the carbon work on the frame in B rabbit video looks good, but no guarantee it is even the same factory between models these days). Shimano v SRAM drivetrain is a plus for me, same for brakes.
The fork , I could buy WakeJakes Duro fork (which sounds like it has been really well fettled) with the change.
What am i missing?
My first Eeb so getting discombobulated reading too much info.

I could fix that

I have the Entry Level: Fox Rhythm on my Mondraker Ebike.

I have the High End: Fox Performance Elite on my Giant Trance advanced pro trail bike.

I had to spend money on both to get the performance I wanted. The Fox Performance Elite is a very over rated fork actually I think all Fox suspension is overrated.
It really must be the Kashima that makes all the difference on the Factory forks then... :p

Yes, it definitely made a massive difference. Strange that it's inconsistent with identical Gen 4 motors, you'd have though it would have been the same on bikes with the same suspension platform and components, eg... pedal kickback on some frames making the chainring ratchet more than others but it wasn't. My mate Patto's identical med Ibis Oso had no noise and mine was like a brass band, so it was completely random if you got a noisy Bosch or not.

My DJI is quiet, maybe on the roughest of chunk there may be a small tick if you wanted to pick holes in it but comparable to brake/gear hoses clicking together on any MTB.
Recently swapped the original 34t alu Sram to a 36t Steelie, the noise was a non issue to start with so I haven't noticed any difference.

Pinkbike did a shootout comparo with 6 of the 'better' bikes. The Forbidden scored the best of the lot of them. I'll be holding off till about mid 2026 to see whats landed or whats in the pipeline, hoping we get Unno here, Megamo might be a goer and if the rumours are correct, possibly Pivot and Santa Cruz on Avinox for 2027.

Any owners of Levos here.
The charging port is powered by a magnetic plug from the charger , so it easily picks up tiny magnetised bits from the ground and else where if dropped .
I always clean that off the plug and the port but recently have found if its not plugged in really hard, I get a fault message afterwards if I turn the bike on, saying battery not connected .
i have started brushing the holes of the plugs out too.

I use contact cleaner on the surfaces of any magnetic plug stuff I have that starts”playing up” I think it gets like a surface corrosion contamination thingy on the mating surfaces

Its 2025, can you wait till 2027 for something that may be pie in the sky and hard to get the first allocation on an untried bike ? That's why I'm on an Amflow, couldn't wait and its got 2500km on it already.

The already available Forbidden CoreE is looking really nice.

I'm tossing up between the Amflow and the Verboten, I suspect the Amflow might be more flicky and less monster truck than the Verboten and maybe better suited to my riding style.

Pinkbike review really liked the Forbidden. Seems well balanced and suited to the powerful motor.

Hard to go wrong with the Amflow it seems though. I know five guys who bought them and they all universally love it.

I'd like a rattle free motor so with lots of reports of the new DJI motor being 'fixed' I've held off from pulling the trigger on a new ebike. I've held off long enough now that my head has gone to an odd place of considering a road bike to improve my fitness and then I won't need an ebike..

The Amflow is fucking amazing. No rattle whatsoever, it's so damn quiet! I have never scored a Strava KOM on a road bike, never will, but I have 5 e-MTB KOMs on my Amflow, it's addictive!

This is more of a warning of what can happen when uninformed politicians meet powerful interest groups. Happens a lot in Tassie.
