Im just wondering im looking at buying a 08 shore with gusseted warranty frame.
And considering throwing atleast 180mm singles if not 200mm triples on it mostly to raise the Headtube and try to slacken the headangle but also for abit more super plush travel that could never hurt.

Is the frame able to support the triples and slacker headangle.
Is it a dumb idea?

Cheers

what he said^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ its all about axle to crown height. the general rule of thumb is dont change the axle to crown hight by any more than 30mm i think it is. also silly wabbit dunno y but ur avitar (little picture thingy) reminds me of hammy the hampster off of over the hedge. just thaught i would throw that out there.

Sweet thanks guys so 180mm singles would be the go. i wonder what i would achive in headangle with 20-30mm more axel-crown length

IIRC for every 25mm change in axle to crown length you get roughly 1deg change of head angle, though that a rough guide and a while since I actually measured anything like this (when changed the crowns to flats on the 888's on my Glory) hope this jelps you a bit

pretty hard to explain as i dont know the street names - just go to the torquay cycle factory, theyre great dudes and theyle tell you where they are.

id go for triples, usually stiffer than singles and that bit more travel can help more than you think...
