Per: http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/parkmanagement/NorthernSydneyMtBProgram.htm

This possible future facility is surrounded by high youth and family demographics starved of formal MTB trails. Localities surrounding this venue include:
  • Hornsby Shire
  • Baulkham Hills
  • Parramatta

Put it in your diary, and please come along in support! Cya there!

The attached is a very rough sketch on google-earth showing where it could be built.

That's right. It won't be a jump park, pump track, free-ride or dual slalom course. However, some parts of it will point down hill, and some uphill. There is no plan to open the fire trail for shuttles.

This would be utilising already existing walking trails if i am not mistaken?

I have family who live close by and have always wondered where some of these trails lead to. It would be great to have some signs to tell us where to go :)

theres only about 70m of elevation but thats enough for a flowy DH track. If you buildings trails why not build a shortish DH track while were at it, im sure there are plenty of people who would love to help

It's on this Saturday. Come in support!

NPWS are looking into providing a mountain bike park in Berowra Valley Regional Park.
Please come along and give it your support.

This Saturday 5th November 2011
Schofield Parade
Pennant Hills
Drop in any time from 11am to 2pm & talk with the rangers.

You can go to the following link for further information.
http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/parkmanagement/NorthernSydneyMtBProgram.htm

A NPWS information shelter & banners will be set up on the old pony club oval. Stringybark Trail gate at the end of Schofields Parade will be opened so people attending the information day can drive along the service road to the old pony oval and car park.

People are free to drop in between 11.00 am to 2.00 pm and view the proposed MTB precinct plan for Stringybark (BVRP) and Bantry Bay (Garigal NP), discuss the process that NPWS have undertaken with the initial analysis and assessment of the proposed sites.

For those that who have a bit more time a guided walk along Stringybark Ridge Trail will be conducted by NPWS Chase Alive Volunteers and NPWS Aboriginal Discovery Ranger at about 1.00 pm.
