Howdy All,

Just moved down to Geelong from Sydney, so I've hooked up with my old school mates fro some riding around the You Yangs (I use the term 'riding' loosely - I fell off twice on my second weekend run, and managed to snap my frame. Serves me right... ).

Anyway, hello all! I'll probably be looking to buy stuff too, coz although I am getting a XC/freeride bike soonish (2005 Giant AC1) (***hopefully***), I am gonna be building up a downhill rig....or at least attempting to!

If you see me, feel free to give me crap!

Thought I'd do a proper intro...got more time.

Howdy all,

I've just left the Army after 10 years, which was a pretty big step for me and the wifey, and currently I'm applying to work down in Geelong (home town). It's good being back - I've still got all my friends from school and most of the family is here (including all the wife's family) - albeit a little cold. Fortunately I like the cold!

As for hobbies, used to ride a bit as a kid but really haven't riden a bike [properly - as in other than to and from work] since I was 17 (11 years ago). My buddies here are into it a fair bit, and thought I'd give it a crack seeing as getting another road bike ('91 ZZR250, '96 CBR250RR, '98 R1, '03 CBR600RR) is out of the question (my right hand and brain don't agree on too many things - even at bed time --- ewwww! lol ). I love going to the gym (Fenix on High St for any locals) but I need to run a bit more... Love computers too, so if ya ever need help or anything give us a yell.

As for funny stories, I don't really have any yet (other than breaking my last one after a day), and don't hav any decent piccies. Might soon though. Hope to catch ya's around....

FYI, one thing these peeps are really good at is expressing an oppinion on gear ... you should think about what type of riding you are liking and what type of pain you like and then asking for some oppinions on rigs and stuff.

eg, the ACs are great bikes, but I would naturally steer you to the Trance (search Trance ... a couple of good threads about with horny pics)

why so many bikes ... x2 250s for goodness sakes ... are you a hoarder or something ?

or is this the sequential list of bikes owned and then upgraded ?

If I'm on track why the drop to the CBR ? bingle / brown pants or you weren't really getting full use of the R1 ... and didn't make sense re commuting duties.

I'm on an R6 (99 pre injection) ... would love a VTR 1000 sp or Tri 955i ... along with the usual bike porn

Hehehe, Nah it is indeed a sequential list...

I wrote off the ZZR, upgraded from the CBR to the R1, had that for about 2 or so years and had a nasty accident (another guy crashed his TLR and died) and wrote it off. That put me off for about a year, then went to the Sydney International Motorcycle show and had to get the 600RR (didn't had the 1000RR back then dammit). Anyway, had another close call (life/death) and had to give them away...unfortunately. But, otherwise I loved it, but was on a track to paraplegia...

R6, very nice! Blue or red/black?....did it come in blue, I can't remember now!!!

Kinda thought it would be brown pants related ... not good ... and I'd be making the same decision after 2 close calls ... don't want to push your luck with the third strike Aye.

Maybe when you hit that midlife thingy ... then you can get yourself a nice safe BMW or Goldwing .... bawahahahahha ... I'd love a goldwing ... just so I can use reverse on a bike.

R6 is blue/white ... only comes in blue / white in my part of the world ... read: every man & his dog).

Recently got the puppy semi burgled ... ie, the buggar botched up a theft and snapped his shive thingy in my ignition ... he coulda at least done it properly and stole it clean. bah

Oh well ... my motar will have to wait.
