Slight change to this post. Post bikes you have pics of or you have found that you may have wanted.still may want, dreamt of or just think they were a great part in the history of Downhill.

Just curious what Downhill bikes are out there from the beginning of the sport to the present day that you have always wanted to own, including team only and prototypes ?

Nico's bike when he left sunn was amazing so far ahead for its time im surprised no one is making them these days.

For me a Schwinn Straight 8



I ended up with a 4Banger instead which was an amazing bike (wish I had kept it)

Now I have a 2010 Fury, which is pretty much a dream bike any way.

We'd all love something Palmer rode he's the man.

That Trek is sexy in the flesh well i thought so a mate had the half white half blue one.

Ahhh sentesi brings back the days when i first got back into DH sundays watching the world cup on Eurosport Corando Herrin ripping and winning that season 1997 i think, Nevagal in the rain amazing

Heavyp have I got a good story for you. A couple of weeks ago I bought two Thule racks on ebay, give the guy a call, his name is Scott, I arrange to pick up (you can probably guess where this story is going).

I get there and the bloke is selling almost everything, I talk to his mate as Scott was busy with other sales and pick ups. Then I see two bikes from front on with old Boxxers, walk over to have a better look and the guy says "oh, yeah Scott used to race World Cups back..."

Fuck me! I am standing in Scott Sharples garage.. Man, I am looking at those two exact bikes, in the flesh. Arranged almost the same as your photo, super cool day. Turns out I am talking to Paul Begg. He tells me Scott is going to donate the yellow one to the Trek museum and is going to restore the silver one.

By the time we left my 9 year old daughter was looking at me very strangely...once I explained that he is Sam Hill's coach she was OK:cool:

On topic - my dream bike was the Specialised Palmer Replica back in the day - black with flames!!!!!!!!!!!!

MARKL: Great story i think the trek museum may have both those bikes already as the picture i posted is from trekaus twitter post i found over on vitalmtb.com. DOH!. Ill own one one day i need to get myself something newer first.

Palmers bikes that were on ebay were special apparently he wanted 10grand or more before parting with them, special but not worth that much surly

They are in production, I have ridden one, they're sweet. The Aussie distro is Nerf Herder on here. PM him for more info.

I picked up my bike racks on the 13th of November, if the photo's are more than a week after that I would say they are now in the Trek museum!

You are correct the antidote’s are in production. Nerf Herder and the Boys at Off The Brakes are the guys selling these I hear they have a couple in stock.

well to start off everyone wants the honda dh bike :)
but i have always wanted to get my hands on a balfa bb7 one of the last gen ones with the stonger head set there so cool.:eek:

i hav always wanted a norco dh team 2006 and the 2011 dh in red

but my dream bike is one that doesnt break ;)
