Decided to do another bike build as there is just something about riding a bike you have put together yourself.

Ended up with a Octane One Prone 27.5 frame instead of the planned Brand-X HT-01. Better in the long run as the prone is more modern with 12mm thru axle and better cable routing for rear mech. A 1x frame only. First ride with the bike proved that I was being lazy with previous bike in using the granny. 32t up front and 11-42 rear seem good enough for local terrain.

After researching the web, end up using the XT M8000 11sp rear mech for the 1x10 drivetrain as no need for rad cages or wolflink to cope with 42 rear cog.

Well the Octane One Prone is no longer running on 26 inch wheels.

Now fitted with a Fox 27.5 for from a member here, nukeproof neutron wheelset with 29 mm IW and Bontrager XR4 team 27.5x2.35 tyres running tubeless (first time I have ever run tubeless).

Just need some time to get out on a ride.

Cool to see another Prone! I have 29er which has been a heap of fun.
