Old and angry: what pisses you off? The rants of ANGRY old men and women!

I freaked out when I got in the car and realised the time. Had to call the family and apologise.

It got me to thinking about how scheduled weekends are that I fit riding/exercise in around all the other obligatory activities. I remembered a time when you'd just "hang out" with friends and say "what do you want to do?", "I don't know, what do you want to do?" Like, just sitting around seems like such a foreign idea to me now. I can't believe that I took time out of my life to drink a beer with some one (and it's not my one night a year Xmas outing).
I'm the same. I feel like I need to be doing something, and I feel guilty if I do "nothing".

This was going to be a YKYGOW but it is much more a rant of an old man. I get annoyed with how kids and adults treat the objects I paid for or will have to fix. Be gentle please - don't slam the doors (house, car, cupboard, fridge, dishwasher). Don't whack the mixer taps. Don't use the every protruding object as grip for your parkour course. don't sit on the back of the couch. Gah, at least now I understand my parents better.

The other one was gun violence and destruction in movies. I watched Axel F on streaming for an escape. I kinda struggled with the whole central theme of the importance of family while every problem was solved by shooting people in the head. That and watching someone drive a snow plow through endless regular peoples cars isn't as funny as it was when I was a kid. Damn I'm old and grumpy.

What day is it? Been so long since I've had to care...never mind, it's snowing outside. Think I'll drink whisky tonight.
I drank whiskey last night. Bloody Mary's on Monday. And $120 bottles of Lunaria Montepulciano Riserva for lunch yesterday - at Alfie's in Sydney.

Life is good!!

Solid grave dig...but almost valid again! I am less than 1 month from flying out.

Over the least 2 weeks I've dined and wined across the inner city...Morrison's oysters bar, o bar, btwn, meat and wine co, restaurant Hubert, Dean and Nancy, Henry Deane, parlour, gowings bar...when life is good, its good. Though it does make the home front feel a bit grim at times.

I fucking hate when people use the wrong word! When referring to past tense in the context quoted, the word is "were"
Perfectly valid. I left facebook page "Dad Jokes Daily" because there were no dad jokes just Trumpian, racist, mysogynist rants, and so much bad spelling and grammar. Straw that broke the camel's back. I love a good dad joke and I was bitterly let down.

Because you've become them reincarnate. Same same. Every time home objects are abused I see time and money spent to fix the extra wear and tear incurred... my kids must think Killjoy.

Nice ones there!

I'll suggest ChinChin, and Pony Dining in Sydney.

Newcastle wise try: Roundhouse, MIINE, Signal Box, Blanca.

The scales have fallen from your eyes and you have realized the truth! With age comes both Wisdom, and Frustration, at the Legions of Dumbcunts who make life more unpleasant and difficult than it needs to be.

No wonder the 'Muricans have a gun violence epidemic. They are essentially conditioned at a young age through movies and TV programs, & probably video games to see shooting other people as a solution to any given problem, and also note the lack of apparent consequences for doing that.

I find the hardest thing about getting older is change ie bad change.
Good change is OK. eg ebikes ,EVs,solar panels , renewable energy ,GPS ,travel ,Australian diverse ethnic foods , embracing good coffee.
Bad change is shit eg idiots who know nothing embracing rightwing ideas ,Nazi , mindless housing Mcmansions and boxes, FF lobbyists , generally the internet is half good and half dangerous , greenwashing ,the Telstra model of customer service ie nothing but bots , Apps and AI taking you in circles , shires and companies that dont publish phone numbers and make you use a form and never answer emails. TRUMP is an idiot and USA will take about10 years to recover from his destructive ways .

Pony is on the list, but my "weekends" don't align well with a lot if hospo businesses. The same to be said for some of those locals you mentioned. Blanca, roundhouse, and signal box have not left me excited excited. Though the view at Roundhouse is pretty good and ive heard a few good recent reviews of signal box so i may need to revisit. I havent made it to mine yet. Local whisky/cocktail opportunities are well spent in the underground, Bartholomew's and the koutetsu. All of which keep poodle friendly hours.
