NSW old school hardtail frame 26" found

Item:* old classy freeride ht frame 26"
Location:* Lismore but will pay post
Price*range/Willing*to*Pay: depends on frame
Extra*Info:* craftworks rail, le toy, that style of thing. Must be a overbuilt frame, the more gussetts the better, weight is no probs. Maybe a 243,
pref medium but will compromise, if it needs a weird rear spacing I would need a wheel or hub to suit.
would consider an old style dually but cant think of any that really turn me on, cheap four banger maybe, 4 to 6 inch travel
the whole project revolves around a set of x vert forks (dual clamp) will take a frame not designed for these forks if its solid
cond dos not matter too much but no cracks or major dents. if the frame has a small crack I would consider but price would need to reflect

Best of luck, I've been trying to hunt down a Banshee Morphine for years now.

Thanks mate, they all appear to be like unicorn teeth, absolutely kicking myself for being to lazy to go to brisso to get a complete le toy for $250 a couple of months ago on gummie , sat there for a couple of weeks. I must have been insane at the time, looked like this one

Are you looking for something old because of budget? Or just want to reminisce?
Just love the old tank style bikes, modern bikes , especially hardtails don't really do much for me.
Now I have my oldish dj bike going I want a freeride hardtail to ride my xc dreams

For me, I want to get back into DH and don't have the budget to run a full susser. I have the wheels, the forks and a bunch of gear but no frame.

And there are few frames that inspire confidence in structural integrity as does the Morphine. If I had the budget I'd also look at an Evil Imperial or similar.

Really? I've seen some half decent DH bikes for $500-$600. Think of your back old man.
That said, i've got an awesome orange MII i'm thinking about what to do with...

I'm cool with riding HT DH (until I actually do it..., perhaps). I enjoy the realness of HTs, the intimate relationship it generates with the earth and the respect it pays to the mountain. The philosophy tracks with my single origin man-bun. Feel the flow.

HTs don't have rear shocks and pivot points to maintain.

Even my old mate Pac Diesel is finding his body complaining. He's as HT af.

I've got a friend with a Banshee Scratch...haven't seen him ride it in like 2 years or something...had no idea there was interest in bikes like these.
No idea where he got it from but it's got a 24s and a 150x12 rear---but it's a 14mm drop out. Apparently the thing can take 10mm of some sort too. He had a hard time finding parts for it tho, a super sketchy weld job went down in our garage to make a brake adapter or something. Was funky cuz of the 150 rear.

Sorry to derail, but if there's interest in this kind of stuff i'll ask if he wants to sell.

You'll end up 1 inch shorter and in need of a chiroproctologist.

I gave up on loving that bad boy after a few weeks. Wish I hadn't sold the wheels!

Is a norco sasquatch of interest? Battle ship grey, 135x10 drop outs, 1 1/8 steerer, 68/73mm bottom bracket. Size is medium.

Can arrange pics later in week.

Awkward double post...

That price is about 300% inflated! And that head tube angle...wtf???
Awkward indeed...bizzwah even. Not sure how that happened:noidea:
Sellers ask for some dumb money for things when their sentiments get in the way. Maybe his missus has got his balls in the screws so he's pricing it to prevent a sale. In terms of the HA, pretty common for that era & a hit with all the (skate) park rats in baggy jeans & DC shoes from back then.

Just a bit to unusual for me, looking for something a bit more mtbish. Thanks for that though

Thanks for the offer but am chasing something that's a bit different but not too unusual. Nothing against norcos, just want to be different.
