Idon't race anything, so I have one bike to do it all 
However Although compromised at either end an efficient pedalling long travel 29er like an Ibis Ripmo would be the goods I would think. Only thing it would struggle with (I imagine - never ridden one) is full on DH, even then it's probably mostly the pilot I suspect.

I'd bet a bit more Nordic or Germanic. The French would be too cool for this footwear ensemble.
