A little of topic, but johnny how do you find living under a communist Regiem(sp) in day to day life ect ect..?
Barely noticeable mate, mainly because they are not communist anymore. The only legacy of a communist system is that they have a one party government with no centralised election process. They are authoritarian, in other-words, quite strong on rules and being the boss. This means stuff like Wiki, BBC and most porn is banned and a lot of different stuff isn't reported in the news paper. But if I was just a normal businessman or worker etc. I wouldn't even notice this stuff. But I'm here for politics so I do. other than that, it's a normal (developing country) place where you go out, work, party, smoke, listen to music, ride bikes etc. It's slowly becoming like any normal country.

Are they doing a graffiti crackdown pre olympics in China Johnny?

I remember their pathetic effort for the Commonwealth games down here, think "come to Melburn, home of street art and culture and all that crap" and then all the walls are painted grey making the city look like a bleak and dull place.

Illegal graffiti is extremely rare here. Most is just legals or stuff in old abandoned factories out of public view.

So what are you over there for? Leave your mark in another country? Make and ship farkin hats to aus? Or try and change how the place is run by assassinating the president?

A few sketches I did of late.

Unfortunately my camera is pretty shit picking up the colours and makes them look as patchy as hell. The pics are a lot more vibrant and smoother in real life.

From a warehouse party on Sat night:

And then later on someone had an image of looking down a spiral staircase printed on A4 paper that pieced together as a 3m x 3m square, they arranged that in this corner and surrounded it with candles. A great piece of work that you saw first thing as you came through the door.

where is that one?
Between spotswood and Yarraville, only visible from train. Across the river from 'secret area' the old firework testing area:D

And Sawtell I told ya, the designs are extremely easy, its the locations that are not.

Have you guys seen many things drawn/written with disposable cups jammed in wire fences? Pretty clever and effective.

Saw one last week, thought it was utter crap:p But seemed like an interesting concept. If it was a big picture or something it could have potential, but the one I saw was just three letters and an exclimation mark. Pretty lame.
