Item: Oury "Mountain" grips
Purchased From: Jenson USA http://tinyurl.com/mmudsrh
Purchase Price (approx): $14 AUD excl delivery
Usage: On all of my bikes, XC, DH, bike path.

Pros - The most comfortable grip I've ever used.
Cons - They will rip if you smash, they are soft.

Comments: Iv been using Oury grips for 25 years. I still have a pair I use that are 16 years old. They are a very soft rubber, if you lay the bike over at speed they will rip. You need to use bar plugs, even thought the grips are enclosed at the end. Installing them is best with compressed air. Warranty is void if you use a glue. I've never had an issue with slippage when wet, others have. I find they stick like shit to a blanket on carbon bars.

114 mm long
114 mm circumference*
22.225mm I.D.
 32mm O.D.
141.5 grams

The lock on versions are not as comfortable due to reduced thickness.

They are often imitated by the Chinese, but why would you when the real deal is so cheap.

I however am very normal. Trust me.
Are the lockons actually smaller in diameter? they certainly feel less soft due to the firmer insides. Got a couple of spare sets of slipons, might throw them on today and comapre.

Oury's webpage shows slip on and lock on have the same OD/circumference so the reduced rubber thickness due to the lock on sleeve is to blame for reduced comfort.

I tore a lock on and went back to slip ons and instantly noticed an improvement.

These grips are sensationally comfortable. I've got lock-on on my mtb and slip-ons on my motard. Slips-ons are definitely softer but both are very comfortable, grippy on the inside of gloves to help prevent arm pump plus soft enough to be easy on the palms
