The final working bee to finish off the main loop at Pine Island. There will be more working bees after for sure for those wanting to help with the technical trail options (black diamonds), but at this stage we’ll be focussing on armouring the creek crossing and fixing the start of the climb on the Pine Island ‘Trunk Trail’.

Here are the details:
————————–
When: Sunday, 24th May (NEXT SUNDAY).
Time: 8.30am to 12.30pm
What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, long pants, any trail tools you might have (shovel, rake etc), water
Where to meet: The entrance to the Bicentennial National Trail on Pine Island Road, which is down the bottom of the road just before you go over the cattle grid and come to the Y-junction.

Morning tea will be provided, and we’ll have soft drinks to keep the sugar levels up.

Please be aware that this trail is being designed and project managed by the Tuggeranong Trail Rats (TTR) in consultation with the land managers (ACT Government), and TTR are the ONLY people authorised to design and coordinate the building of the trails at Pine Island including changes to existing trails. If you want to be involved in the building of the tracks then doing so through the formal working bees is the only way you can have a say. Any person (or persons) found building unapproved trails or making unapproved changes will be reported to the landowners.
