After building my 29er I've found you do have to look a little harder to find those things you want, ie 29er tubes with presta valves, jumbo chain stay protectors, cheaper tyres, longer seatposts, wheelsets, forks, etc.

So why not gloat, post a pic, tell us what you spent your hard earned dosh on...

I bought one of these today, might go on my other commuter not sure yet...

I love the H-bar though I wished I had got the J-bar for the additional hand positions. I love it on my SS rigid, feels really comfortable. Just one question though why didn't you just buy a boat anchor, they weight the same.
Just bought a Alfine 8 speed IGH laced to some Mavic A317 rims to convert into my 29er into a Monstercross

Sorry to burst your bubble. It is very heavy for a handlebar! Maybe you should have gone the Ti ones! They are only 440g from memory and yes I think they are a bit overbuilt

paying $550 for a handlebar? $1.57 per gram!

Titec H Bar: $70, for 390 grams
JJ Ti H Bar: $550 for 350 grams

Titec J or H bars and Jeff Jones H bars are not about the weight for me.
If I want light I would ook elsewhere regardless.
The ti ones are over 200g heavier than my flat bars.

I would have all the parts for a wheel build today, except Wiggle sent me the wrong rim twice in a row.

ordered the ZTR 355 29er rim (x2) and received the 26" 355 twice in a row. Rather infuriating...

Dude, I'm seriously not into the XC race thing on this bike. For me it's about flowing trails, handling, railing berms and flow. Lower, flatter bars are the go.

Try a WTB Rocket V saddle super comfy takes the edge off.
Continental Race king 2.2 (really a 2.1) its a tall tire with a generous bag run at 32-26psi will virtually give you half an inch, further taking the edge off.

A couple of new things:

Gold tape for my H-bars (to match all the gold bits on the Blacksheep)

Some new flat bars for the 640mm wide Tallboy and Blacksheep

Some new Middleburn rings for my Tallboy's cranks and some pink bottle cage bolts for the Moots.

Waiting for a new ti fork for the Blacksheep.

Have they let you keep the rims? Wiggle are often good like that. I'm about to order a pair of crest rims, I hope they don't screw it up.
