Now inspired to start building after going through this thread... some awesome bikes!
few little upgrades to shed a little weight (i think i've become a weight weenieout
, main one being handing in my man card and going from crossmarks to girly sized detonators. wanting to try some clip in pedals too.

yeah this is my commuter, well it pulls triple duty, roady, CX and commuter...
3T cockpit
Champione CrMo Cyclo cross disc Fork
FSA orbit X headset
Lizardgrip tape
Carbon 50x23mm rims 3k matte
Sapim CX Spokes
Novatech D711/712 hubs
Sram Apex gruppo, compact
Specialized Captain CX 34mm
Prologo Ti scratch Saddle
Thompson Elite Setback
CB eggs, Ti
Avid BB7 Road Disc
seeing pics of this the other week made me want to build a disc CX as a commuter...
bought some 29" wheels and 700x28c tyres just to gauge fitment on my carbon frame... fitted them to my old commuter and i've now fallen in love with it even more than before, disc cx might get shelved!

I think I've found cycling nirvana, part 29er, part roady, all fun, and seriously fast.

That is one of the best/cleanest bikes I have ever laid my eyeballs on. Is there a link to the build of this beauty??
Thanks!
Build thread is here, http://www.rotorburn.com/forums/showthread.php?262767-matte-white-and-carbon-a-match-made-in-heaven
i'm trying to find some 700x28/32c tyres like the maxxis detonator with a lime green stripe for it... all i can find is 23 and 1 or 2 25c...
why does no one make wider tyres with pretty colours.

Don't Halo do some green tyres in that size?
Awesome. I'll have a look at that seat. Also can anyone help us with the pros/cons of people swapping there 3x >>> 1x Chainring. Looking at small things to do with my Cube Acid.
Thanks

pros - simpler, less things to go wrong, lighter, looks better
cons - decreased gear range (however i find 10 gears plenty, i'm about to change from a 11-36 cassette to 11-28)
