Wow - I can understand why you would be pissed!
That would scare me off their product as well - I agree a better process needs to be in place for us Aussie customers.

Well it makes you wonder why have a local distributor who adds their % if they're not really doing anything?
I know a lot of pros (team Sky, Gravesy) have nothing but praise for them but I can't see Chris Froome waiting for a replacement crank arm while his bike sits there unusable because he bought his power meter as a full crankset..............
And I can't even measure the power output of my one-legged efforts.....
But hey, when it was working, it worked really well...

tages initially didn’t ship nor sell to residents outside North America as they state they would not be able to offer the service they expected outside this area – it turns out once they release in Australia they have the issue they were trying to avoid! They have done themselves a real disservice by not enabling warranty claims to be processed in Australia, especially given the nature of the problems being well know.
This is one of the reasons stages wasn’t on the list for me, money much better spent on a PT, Quarq or P2M Powermeters IMO.

I've had to replace the battery on my PT twice - had the PT for almost a year.
Wife also has a quarq on her roadie and had to replace her battery on average every 6 months. A few friends have experienced a few issues with their quarq and had several replaced under warranty. Frustrating for them but at least their wait time was within acceptable limits (no need to send overseas, etc)

Had mine since they first landed in Australia late last year... Fwiw it's a sram x9

From what i have read on the internet, Stages have been very good with warranty claims.
I really hope it gets sorted out asap for you Ackland & they replace the whole crank arm with a new one for you.
Also read that a better battery & seal on the battery housing has been made recently. I think i must have got one of the newer ones in Feb as my battery life has been great.

Haha mine wen't flat on the first ride; easy peasy to change though and costs all of $10 for the batteries.

Surely that would be a trip to total rush...Yes while it's a minor hassle to change a battery, even someone as mechanically deficient as me is able to do it
