Item: 100 Percent Ridefit Gloves
Purchased From:
MX Store.
The ebay store but check out the website to, since they sometimes offer discounts direct on the website as opposed to ebay.

Purchase Price (approx):
$38 posted (Ideally wait for the ebay 20% off etc vouchers so they can be had at a discount)

Usage:

Canberra's trails, including a few trips to Thredbo, I do ride in all conditions including pouring rain. And these are also worn when loading bikes into the ute so do cop a fair bit of use.
By no means downhill trails all the time, a lot of uphill and XC action, daily use for riding to work.
And I guess like every glove, the sneeze rag when its dusty or hayfever hits.

Pros -
Lightweight, great for people with finger tendon issues (frozen tendon in fingers means its sometimes hard to find the right fitting glove.)
Stretchy so the fit is pretty tight, always better to measure your hand as their extra large is a similar size to my previous Fox Large gloves.
Perforated fingers to help with airflow/sweating.
Touch screen compatible finger pad.
Slim cuff with small velcro section, doesn't rub on watch area.
The palm has no padding so its direct feel of the grips.

Cons -
Velcro keeps attaching to all parts of the glove, so there are some pulled sections of the material. More an aesthetic issue.
White in between the fingers is now stained in parts thanks to grease.
They do feel thin, so I hope they do last, its like wearing the white cotton gloves you get to inspect photo prints or artwork.
The price could fall under this but I'm not sure what a decent pair of gloves fetches with never ending 'sales' advertised all the time.

Comments:

Arguably since the handlebars are one of our key contact points with the bike, gloves are one of the most important decisions when it comes to taming that trusty steed between your legs.

While I have only been riding in them for about three weeks now, the gloves feel good on the hand with no signs of weak stitching in and around the fingers (where my fox ones failed with time).

The gloves do feel pretty breathable, they dry quickly when soaked, and the smaller wrist section and velcro means my G shock watch is left alone, where as the fox gloves used to rub under the watch onto my wrist.

While I am glad I opted for the Blue and White variant which makes them easy to spot in the bag or behind the ute seats when out on a trip, the white might not have been the best choice for someone who rides in gloves almost all the time.

Great for users of go-pro's/DSLR's/Cameras etc. The fingers are pretty thin and responsive so no issues with having to take off gloves to shoot your mates sending it, or turning on the go-pro etc.

All in all a great solution for someone who wants some protection from the usual scrapes but it really isn't assured protection at all when you compare it to some other gloves.

I will keep this updated after my Bali trip where the real conditions will be tested.

Down on the left!
I’ve got the same gloves in a different color. Great for the first month or so. Nice and comfy with good stretch and whilst not being a down hill glove did feel like it offers some protection in an off. The material in the fingers where I grip the bars started to wear quickly and now have holes on both index fingers. Makes phone use easy!
I won’t be buying another pair.

Oh yeah and the “how much effort - do you giv? basically fell off after a month.
