Here's my newest car project. Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron. Being released by Lego on 1st June. This is a leaked shot and hoping it's a fake, that looks awful.

I've had the Porsche GT3 RS for some time:

Keeps on digging
She's a bit dusty, but the paint job is the best I've ever seen on a car. It's like a mirror, every panel is impeccably straight and silky smooth. Can't get around to the old rego label or vin plate, from memory an early 1977

So much want.... What does he want for it?

That looks mint!
Any older car without rust is half the battle won.

Forget the Zesty mate, new project time!
Your old man would be stoked to see it rise again??

The paint jobs on them last a long time if they're kept out of the weather. I used to work on a 6 series with dark green metallic paint with bone coloured leather interior. A mate of mine actually specialises working on them.

Restored with amazing results in about 2002 and garaged since. Paint is still perfect.

I'll slowly push for some movement

Just take it! A few after I sold my E21 I found an M635CSi for sale. Quite reasonable price. Drove to Brissy to check it out. Not even a 3.5 much less the M1 engine. And automatic. Just a body kit. Lying bastard cost me 1200km.

Lancias would have to be the best sounding 4 I have heard. Amazing things.

Crashed out somewhere
Yeah cool.
I was only curious coz 500 rear wheel is starting to get pretty serious!

Can I go for a ride in it next time your in Launnie?!

Yeah it's got to the point that it's not worth selling, it'll end up as a track car more than likely. It's quiet a handful over winter, can't be distracted.

Haha I've been told there's some excellent driving opportunities along the west coast down there!

A mate who loves his rally showed me some documentary I think was called Too fast to race when rally cars were becoming very fast and powerful and there were many crashes involving spectators and they had to tone down the power a little. Now the the rally cars race tiny carts when in street mode are typically driven by teenagers on P plates.

Anyway, onto the Audi.

Oh yeah! Group B rally cars were the ultimate zero-fucks-given race cars. It was a different time.
The final version of the Audi was pretty dominant. They are still trading on their Group B heritage to this day.

There was Group B cars produced by Renault, Nissan, Toyota, Peugot, Lancia & others... and they were all farrken insane.

These days rally cars are as fast, but they just don't have the drama & raw power. And they're probably easier to drive & more forgiving (from what I've seen & heard).

Fun fact. In '82 Michele Mouton (female) finished runner up in the world rally champing driving a factory Audi Group B monster.

One of those Gruppe B Quattros competes in the local sprints. It has been absent since Leyburn last year when, I believe, a hay bale jumped out and messed up the front. Rumour has it that the car will return later this year with over 800bhp.

You'll die from a heart attack if you see the price.

635.jpg

1983 BMW 635 Group A FIA Race Car. This car was originally delivered to Norway as a 630 road car and was converted early in its life into an E24 model 635 Group A Race car. The original owner Mr Tuisku took the car to BMW works team Schnitzer in 1983 to have a Schnitzer built 635 engine installed.

Following his first race where he finished 3rd, Tuisku installed BMW Motorsport front and rear axles complete with 5 speed Getrag 265/3 Gearbox.

The car was very successful and during 5 years of racing in Scandinavia, the car was more often than not on the podium.

During the mid 1980's the car was sent to Alpina for an engine rebuild, and continued to race until 1988.

The car then sold to Sweden and remained unused except for one track day in 2004 for more than 20 years.

Now rebuilt and ready to race again, the car is in great condition as can be seen from the photos.
