Yeah, surprised nobody got it, actually.

It was from a TV advertisement in the 1970/80s for Yogi Bear chocolates. So, the answer was Yogi Bear.

That's the one. A few older Japanese men told me about it a few days ago. They are enthusiasts of the sport. They also have little confidence in the wallabies.
The Panda's (I think they were Pandas) on the flags promoting the World Cup look like they are in a compromising position, and seem to be really enjoying it.


Edit: it's not a panda, dunno what it is but it's called ren-g
