just wanted to find out:
At state races do you have an actual series in xc or dh?
Do riders win cash- at elite level? other levels?
How much for 1st 2nd 3rd?
Is there cash for series winners? how much?
Any info would be much appreciated.
The reason I ask is because of the prizes offered this season for each race and end of series in both DH and XC here in vic in the FTF Winter Series. I don't ride xc, but if i did i would be pretty pissed with the fact that elite women get the same prize money as all classes except elite men and expert men who both get much larger cash awards.
Prize parity between male and female has always been a pretty big issue in sport in general, and virtually all sports have evened up their elite classes at least up to a certain place in- except mtb.
