Red Bull Hardline

I don't really rate this track, particularly the way it's constantly switching from janky rock to bike park.
Amazing to watch what the riders can do regardless, but yeah. I really wish they'd change up the "easier" (man-made) sections more year to year just to change the rhythm of the track up a bit

I don't mind it, its got a bit of everything, yeah we've been watching the same'ish line since the start but all the features are absolutely the epitome of hardline. Only 1 girl down ever and the blokes who come down are happy to just have finished, regardless of place and say they were scared.

Yeah, it's a hard track, there is zero doubt about it. It's just not spectacular to watch, for me.

Charlie Hatton's run was pretty wild to watch, though. Asa was fast, but also smoother, so not as fun :p

Agree, its not a rider threading fast through the pine forests looking for 0.1 of a second but every feature is beyond probably all/most of us. That rock garden before the road gap is mental and the rocky jank after the road gap with the drop to flat is crazy. Never mind the 75ft drop and the 90ft jumps. Massive respect to all who have even tried to qualify.

How's the speed Asa was carrying into the right hand berm after the 90 footers, basically just jumped into the berm and had to have a second bite at it and square it off

Jacko going to have a bit of competition next year with Asa and the Alran brothers. They dont always transfer from junior to elite they way we expect but the 3 of these kids are coming down with elite podium times already.

Asa was so visually faster, it was shocking.

Pretty incredible for an 18 year old kid to sit up top and watch the time fall, then deliver like he did.

Anyone on the edge of World Cup qualifying at present would be having nightmares about 2026, there’s 3-4 less spots available next year when these young boys step in.

Lou Ferguson won Hardline, that was amazing. Ages ago I read that 80% of the girls on the World Cup circuit would not (could not even) hit that course in it's entirety. She's worked up to this and that has to be her finest achievement. Fair call that she did a full run yesty in qualifying but to back up and do it again on a slippery track is astounding.
Charlie and Asa looked so much quicker than most. Watch out Elite class, that Asa kid is coming for your rainbow stripes!

Agree entirely about Lou, she is such a legend.
I've definitely got a little (ok, it's more) soft spot for her

I see her most summer's in Queenstown and manage to chat with her a bit, she's a really grounded & appreciative lady that adores what she does. I really hope she can stay competitive for a long time and share her great nature, she gives off so much good energy.

Throwaway line in Wyn's trackwalk when he's speaking with Finn about Hardline, something like "there could be more of them next year" 👀
