Saint brakes noisy!

Hey fellas,

My Saint brakes have started howling etc really badly, esp the front.

Pads still have plenty of meat on them,
they started with wet weather riding, and now howl all the time under light braking only.

Ideas?
pad alignment to rotor seems to be fine also.

Did you get oil/contaminants on them at all?

Are you using shimano rotors?

using avid rotors, but never had noise issues previously. No no contaminants at all...been very carefull of that

Just get avids brakes, ffs!!

+ 1 for what stupid head said about contaminants, try cooking them and cleaning rotor.

HAHAHA..i did have Avid CR carbons...hated them.

yeah might pull them out and disc brake clean them and cook. Failing that...new pads probs huh

Mine started to do the same thing. I gave my discs a clean with some isopropyl alcohol and a gave the pads a light sand and wiped them down with the isopropyl. There pretty quiet now and seen to grab alittle better to.
