pretty happy with how it rode on the short run, don’t have anything to compare directly too, is smoother but feels a bit more tractor-ish than the 140mm turner 5 spot, similar tyre feel to my norco torrent ht with 2.8, but not as draggy. i was nappy with how well it picked up spd when pointed down, havn’t sourced the front der. bracket yet so was in a highish ratio for SS, climbed ok..will compare when i run easier gear. handled tight corners well, we have some skinny gaps in the wombat, wheelbase is about 40mm longer than my other hardbtail bikes. i went 27.5 as i’m too slow on tight stuff on 29, i pedal it fine & gain time both up ‘ down...only on flat fire rd is 29er quicker for me.
the fox dps went fine, frame seems it have very little pedal bob, much better than the turner, set at about 190psi, when i hit a couple of jumps it seemed to flow thru the travel smoothly, maybe rebound was a bit slow?
forks need a service, ordered kit, getting a bit slow
