Has anyone here played with the new Di2 stuff and the E-Tube software?

Here's what I'm trying to do, I'm about to build a new TT bike (yeah yeah shuddup) and I want to stick Di2 9070 on it. Where things get tricky, I've got a bucket load of 10 speed stuff and all the other bikes in the house run 10 speed so I'd like to run the Di2 as 10 speed at least until I wear out all my nice cassettes and chains.

Now I assumed this would be possible as the new Dura Ace 9070 (11 speed) is compatible with the old Ultegra Di2 (10 speed) and the new E-Tube software allows you to do pretty much anything.
I called old mate at Shimano and the official word was no because the derailleur is indexed to shift 11 speeds. I thought this was odd as I assumed the derailleur is essentially just a servo motor doing what a shifter told it to and seeing as the shifter is just a contact you could program it to do what you like. The internet is of no help as some say you can and some say you can't but it doesn't look like anyone has actually done it.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Yes.

Shifters will revert to 10 sp but both front rear derailleurs must be 10sp.
Ie you can't have 11 sp front derailleur with 10sp rear derailleur
