shitty pikes - are they meant to be like this?

thanks all, some good suggestions

I've been reading up on the compression tuning threads here - https://www.rotorburn.com/forums/index.php?threads/pike-custom-tuning.302978/ - and elsewhere - https://www.mtbr.com/threads/rock-shox-pike-rc-light-tune.1049304/ - and it's sounding like a princess and the pea (i'm the princess) - i'm outside the optimal weight/usage range.

I'll still drop the lowers again and investigate everything - but once stuff is moving it feels smooth etc, and everything looks straight

I'll keep an eye out for a cheapie fork that's more suitable but in the mean time off to the wtb section looking for a debonair b1 air shaft or luftkappe
and next rainy few weeks i might get into the damper and change the oil and remove a shim or 2

I took it all apart and had another look. Everything's straight and goes in smoothly is what she said

Took a longer ride today through some local tracks that have been washed out so lots of rocks and roots - it feels a lot better

I think it needed a reoil + 70% user error - i didn't know it had 2 spacers in it already, so I was trying to pump it up to the recommended factory psi, and when i tried to set it to the correct sag the psi seemed way too low so I was ignoring it thinking something was impeding it

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone
Will still look @ upgrading the air shaft though - and maybe redo the damper tune...
